Constant rain for two day, every river, stream and bayou over running its banks. New Years has passed and people are headed back to their lives. Temperatures had bottomed out in the low 50s and this night in Martin Dies the temperature will drop to the mid 30s. Perfect! The Tortuga is alone in the park sitting near the water with breath taking views. 

Stay another day.  In the morning it was still cold but the sun had made an appearance. This would be a good day to dry out and chill out before heading out. There is something special about taking a hot shower, starting a fire in the early afternoon, that warms you from the cool breeze off the lake and reading a book.  The Tortuga Life.
