World’s First

With no plan and just a direction you don’t know what you can find.

It was just 257 miles further down the road and guess what I found? 

“World’s 1^st KOA!” established in 1962.. Now if that was not enough excitement, this Billings KOA is the “World’s 1^st KOA Holiday!” established in 2013..  Now I don’t know what the Holiday standard is, but this place is “nice”. Pool, Adventure miniature golf, a BBQ place, free ice cream in the gift shop at 6 PM, basketball courts camping cabins, a lodge, Family Style Restrooms and Showers?, laundry and “of course” a pet walk.. I am thinking this is the nicest subdivision in Billings, MT.  People walking around in Bermuda shorts, kids splashing around in the pool and pets barking on a leash.  Truly up town.  The only thing better would be to stay home. When in Billings, stay at the KOA, people love this place, the Tortuga and Lacy, not so much.

I bet you would not have guessed, Only the Tortuga had 44 inch tall tires in the entire park.
