UPDATE:  17 June 2016 The Tortuga was out running across the Texas Country Side last weekend and ended up at Pedernales Falls State Park.  There has been significant amount of rain in Texas and the rivers and streams are running at levels that have not been seen in a very long time. During a short walk across the falls, a natural spring appeared. After just a little investigation it turned out to be more like a fountain coming out of the river bed, a perfect time to try out the video capacity of the camera.

The quality of the film and audio are impressive for such a small camera.  With a little practice and an editing program short film clips of the next mile down the road will be in the Tortuga’s future.

Not only does the camera take great video, this thing has so much capability it is a little overwhelming at times.  There is a rotary control on the top that will lead you through many of the camera’s function to include: Super Auto, Intelligent Auto, Scene Selection, Seep Shooting, Movie, Manual Exposure, Shutter Priority and on and on. A nice feature is that every time you change functions, the screen gives a brief explanation of the function you are now on.

The more you learn about this little camera the more impressive it becomes.
