Quick stop at Balmorhea state park to swim.  A gathering of more humans in one place than the Tortuga tends to like, but it was a lovely spot and an incredible display of the aquifer’s power.   Watching fish swim, kids jumping off the high dive, and yes, scuba divers training in the 30 ft deep end was a welcome diversion.  Just watch out for the very slippery rocks!
